FEAR NOT - Day 15
![]()
Stand Firm
Fear often makes us feel unstable. Anxiety pushes the mind in every direction and leaves us emotionally exhausted, spiritually discouraged, and tempted to give up ground in our faith. In difficult seasons, it can feel easier to retreat than to remain steady.
But Paul gives believers a different command in Ephesians 6.
Ephesians 6:10-13 — Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might... and having done all, to stand firm.
Notice Paul does not say, “Be strong in yourself.” Fear exposes how limited our own strength truly is. Left to ourselves, anxiety, temptation, discouragement, and spiritual attacks can quickly overwhelm us.
That is why our strength must come from the Lord.
Paul reminds us that many of our battles are spiritual in nature. Fear is not always just emotional; it can become a spiritual attack meant to weaken trust, distort truth, and discourage obedience.
The enemy wants believers to retreat in fear. God calls us to stand firm in truth.
Standing firm does not mean pretending everything is easy. It means refusing to surrender your faith, identity, and confidence in God when pressure increases. Some days, spiritual victory looks less like moving mountains and more like simply refusing to give up.
Fear says, “You are too weak to endure.”
Truth says, “Be strong in the Lord.”
God has not called you to fight alone or in your own strength. He provides truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, His Word, and His presence for the battle.
When fear rises, stand firm. God is sustaining you even now.
Reflection:
Where have you felt spiritually or emotionally worn down lately? What would it look like for you to stand firm in God’s strength instead of surrendering to fear?
Prayer:
Father, strengthen me when fear and discouragement make me feel weak. Help me stand firm in truth and trust You even in difficult seasons. Remind me that my strength does not come from myself, but from You. Equip me to resist fear and remain faithful in every battle I face. In Jesus’ name, amen.
