FEAR NOT - Day 1
FEAR IS LOUD
Fear is one of our loudest emotions. It magnifies problems, and convinces us that worst-case scenarios are inevitable. Fear tells us we are alone, vulnerable, and unable to handle what lies ahead. Sometimes it screams through anxiety and panic. Other times it whispers quietly through constant worry and exhaustion.
God uses the prophet Isaiah to speak into this reality.
Isaiah 41:10 — Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”
Notice that God does not say, “You will never feel fear.” He says, “Fear not, for I am with you.” The answer to overcoming our fears is not pretending they don't exist. The answer is the presence of God in the middle of them.
Fear becomes overwhelming when we focus entirely on what might happen instead of who God is. Fear is loud, but God’s promises are louder when we choose to listen to them.
Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that we are not abandoned in the struggle. God promises His presence, His strength, His help, and His sustaining power. Fear says, “You won’t make it.” God says, “We’ll go together.”
Today, don’t let fear become your narrator. Let God’s voice define your reality.
Prayer:
Father, fear often feels overwhelming and loud in my heart and mind. Help me to recognize when I am listening more to fear than to Your truth. Remind me that You are near, that You are faithful, and that You will sustain me. Teach me to trust Your presence even when I cannot see the outcome clearly. In Jesus’ name, amen.
